Nicole Catá

BIOGRAPHY

Nicole Catá is a second-year undergraduate at Columbia University, where she is pursuing a major in English and concentrations in human rights and French. She prefers riding the mother mallard to taking the 1 train or the M60 bus, but is (thankfully) not in Boston often enough to take advantage of the wonders of the Make Way for Ducklings statue.

A native of Flushing, Queens, Nicole was whisked away to the suburbs of the Town of Cortlandt in Westchester County to attend Hendrick Hudson High School and pine for heavy traffic, real pizza, and the views of Shea Stadium and the Manhattan skyline from her NYC apartment.

Back in New York City, Nicole spends most of her time wreaking havoc with the Columbia University Marching Band, planning events with the Columbia Political Union, critiquing contributions to the Tablet Magazine, volunteering with Community Lunch and One-to-One Tutoring, acting as a lackey for the Center for the Study of Human Rights, cheering on the New York Mets, allocating her time and appetite between soul food and crêpes, and yearning for her fellow disgruntled Mets fan. She is honored to serve as your humble co-editor and snark-provider. Nicole respectfully reminds you to make way for ducklings.
