Ben Theodor
BIOGRAPHY
Ben Theodor tried to tame the blogging beast within by murdering his former blog, Change We Voted For, in cold blood (his first attempt, Election Day Countdown, expired due to natural causes). However, like so many cheap horror movie villains, Ben’s sarcasm simply couldn’t be kept down, and has found a permanent home here at BOTO.
Besides attempting to seduce all of the other members of BOTO’s writing staff (there’s something appealing about a complete set), Ben enjoys jumping haphazardly from political news to baseball news to movie/television news and back again. When he’s not at his computer (and we know, that’s what you were thinking), Ben reads, strums mindlessly simple covers on his guitar, and thinks of excuses not to shave. He also tapes ankles and fills water bottles for his college’s athletic training office. He also wanders the streets canvassing for Barack Obama (don’t tell him the election is over, he’s still afraid that it’s a trick).
Hailing from the Town of Cortlandt in New York, Ben bleeds blue and orange (mixed together they do, admittedly, look more like red), and will continue to passionately scream his heart out for the Mets. On warm, summer nights, you may find him gallavanting across the upper deck of Yankee Stadium belting “New York, New York” as Yankee players walk dejectedly from the field, one member of BOTO’s staff laughs in glee, and another considers what a fall from that height might do to him.
He hopes to earn his place as a proud member of the BOTO team.
